I wanted to tell you guys that a good friend is joining us to do all the community management.
Since I don't really have the time to answer all your emails, he will be doing that job.
Good day and thanks for your trust in Hashdogs!
STAY TUNED LOTS OF NEW THINGS ARE COMING SOON!
1 MORE SERVER AT EUROPE (LONDON) AND PROBABLY ONE MORE ON SINGAPORE.
To the moon!
We are tunning the dogecoin daemon for better performance.
We still have a performance problem related to dogecoind (master 1.5) which is causing the lag on web site.
I'm looking into it to try to fix it asap.
The we switched to a new wallet. The site should feel a lot faster!
SITE UPDATED TO THE LASTEST VERSION.
I think I have found the problem. The new Dogecoin wallet (1.5.2) was lagging. The rpcserver buil-in doesn't work as fast as the Dogecoin 1.4.x.
That lag was causing alot of orphans. So I have added 3 more daemons to see how it goes.
I'll stay watching the servers to see how all goes.
I hope all you guys understand.
ALL THE LASTEST PROBLEMS WAS CAUSED BY AN UNSTABLE DOGECOIND RELEASE.
FEEL FREE TO OPEN A TICKET/ISSUE HERE. LET THEN KNOW ABOUT THIS.
I just deleted the lastest blocks from the database that aparently where on the wrong fork.
Don't freak out if you see your have lost your unconfirmed balance.
Stratum going to for a bit for maintenance.
Hashdogs: The first Dogecoin pool to run as a Tor Hidden Service: https://kdttpcstcpdaddr2.tor2web.org
If you know what .onion domains are, you can try it with: kdttpcstcpdaddr2.onion
If you don't know what Tor is, take a look here
I invite all pool operators to try it and become an active node on the Tor network.
Regarding those blocks that aren't confirming (#107719, #107049, #104733)
Those blocks sadly were mined when we were on the fork.
I'm researching on how to remove them from the database and clean all the incorrect information.
The lastest Dogecoin fork happen while I was on work. As soon I found out about it, I started re-syncing a new dogecoind daemon to try to be on the correct side of the fork.
I had to resync again another wallet because that one also landed on the wrong fork.
Right now we are running Dogecoind 1.5.2. I think we are on the right track now.
I'm deeply sorry about all these problems. I'm putting all the time I can to fix everything.
I hope you all understand and think about the comunity. About the shibes and what you guys created here.
btw: the live chat channel needs some love. You are all invited to come and stay!. Lets have chat.
If you don't like the web interface, you can use a true IRC client like: Limechat for osx, weechat for console and XChat for windows folks. The channel is #hashdogs @ irc.freenode.org.
@mljsimone (Yes, that is a twitter handle :)
AAAAND WE ARE BACK!
RE-ENABLING STRAUM SERVERS AND GOING OUT OF MAINTENANCE MODE
We just hit the "EXCEPTION: 11DbException" problem in dogecoind. We are re-downloading the wallet.
More news soon.
Wallet synced but we still have problems with the database.
I'll upgrade back to 1.5.2 to see how it works. More news soon.
In the meantime we are shutting down Stratum.
Please understand and don't freak out. Your balance is safe.
BTW: We know about the Dogecoin chain fork, and we are working to get on the right fork of the chain. For more information, check reddit.com/r/dogecoin -- we do often. Thanks!
Hello, I have seen all the questions in the mails.
I will try to answer most of the questions you have here:
1) I've been mining here for
... Why I didn't get pay?
A: We pay after a block is found, not every X amount of time. You can check this page to find out about the list of blocks
2) If I move to a bigger pool, I'm going to earn more?
Short A: No. You get more frequents payout but way smaller than at a smaller pool.
3) I have issued a withdrawal. Why my coins aren't on my wallet?
Go the Transactions page and click on the transaction id to go to http://dogechain.info and look up the transaction's id.
If you see a record with the amount pay, then the problem is not on our side but in your wallet.
4) Why do we hit so many Orphans?
This was caused because of a problem in the new Dogecoind wallet (1.5) that we upgraded a while back.
Due to this we were force to downgrade back to 1.4, for a more stable wallet.
If you have any more questions you can always catch me at irc.freenode.org, channel #hashdogs from 9am to 18hs GMT -03. (you can also click on "Live Chat" on the left)
Best regards. The Admin.
